Council holds first reading on planning‑commission code changes; debate centers on residency and attendance rules

Vienna Common Council conducted a first reading on Feb. 10 of an ordinance to amend Article 133 of the municipal code governing the City of Vienna Planning Commission. Council members said the ordinance primarily mirrors recent changes in state law and clarifies membership, appointment procedures and operational rules. The first reading passed 7–0; a second reading is required for final adoption.
