Alachua County commissioners on Feb. 11 directed staff to advertise proposed amendments to the Unified Land Development Code that would add broader approval criteria for special exceptions, such as industrial uses, agricultural operations and recreation facilities.
The proposal, presented by Jerry Brewington, senior planner in the county’s Department of Growth Management, would add items to the existing ULDC section governing special-exception approvals.
