Committee approves bill to designate June as Kentucky History Month

Senator Philip Wheeler, chair of the Senate standing committee on Economic Development, Tourism & Labor, and Scott Alvey, executive director of the Kentucky Historical Society, described Senate Bill 313 as a short, celebratory measure to designate the month of June as Kentucky History Month. "Senate bill 313... is just a simple little bill. It's a, a 1 line change to say that the month of June shall be Kentucky history month," Wheeler said.
