The Metro Flood Diversion Authority on Jan. 20 approved a classification and compensation study and directed staff to implement the resulting pay matrix.
Michael Redlinger, who has served as a co‑executive director, told the board the authority selected consultant MRA via competitive RFP and that the study produced a pay structure and pay matrix the board could use going forward. “What we’re going to do now after you approve today is get that implemented,” Redlinger said.
The board moved, seconded and approved the item by roll call. A board member commended Redlinger, Robert Wilson and Cass County’s Tracy Peters for their work preparing the study and staff briefings ahead of the new executive director’s arrival.
The board instructed staff to begin implementing the pay matrix in the remaining days before the incoming executive director transitions into the role.
