Sudden Valley ACC approves routine exterior projects, denies several change requests and orders arborist reports

The Sudden Valley Architectural Control Committee (ACC) met at 9 a.m. Feb. 6, 2025 by remote call and approved a range of homeowner requests while denying others and assigning follow-up tasks.

The committee approved applications to replace a front entry door and tile at 8 Topper Drive and to install new metal roofing across an entire house at 834 Southern Valley Drive. The ACC also approved a small exterior-step repair at 14A Inlet Circle and a roofing drainage improvement. At the same time, the committee denied multiple construction-change requests that had already been implemented without prior ACC approval, recommended fines be assessed as part of final inspection processing, and required further documentation or mitigation for several other items.

Why it matters: The ACC enforces Sudden Valley design standards and the committee emphasized consistent application of its rules, particularly on tree removals, roof-height measurements and exterior lighting.
