Commissioners adopt technical updates to transportation chapter of land development code

The Board approved a county-initiated technical amendment to the Land Development Code (LDCT-2404 / Ordinance No. 2,512) on Feb. 6 to update references, fix typographical and formatting errors, and clarify standards in the Transportation Management element (sections 1001, 1002 and 1005).
Staff described the changes as corrections and clarifications rather than policy shifts. The item was presented as “adoption hearing, presentation upon request”; no members of the public commented and the Planning Commission recommended approval. The ordinance passed unanimously, 6-0, with Commissioner Sadiq absent.
County staff said the revisions align internal citations and remove ambiguities that could impede administration of transportation standards in site plan and permit reviews. The amendments do not change concurrency or level-of-service standards; staff will post the adopted ordinance and update the County’s online Land Development Code.
