Senate panel adopts committee rules, hears Wing drone-delivery presentation

The Senate Committee on Science and Technology unanimously adopted its rules and then heard a presentation from Wing Aviation LLC on drone delivery and its operations.

The committee, convened by the chairman (name not specified), approved the rules on a motion from Senator Payne that was seconded by Senator Islam; the chair said the vote was unanimous. Following the organizational business, the panel received a presentation from Bailey Edwards of Wing Aviation LLC explaining the company’s aircraft, safety approach and service model.

The vote to adopt the rules was procedural and brief. Senator Payne moved to accept the committee rules; Senator Islam seconded the motion. The chair called for those in favor, announced the vote as unanimous and closed that item of business.
