Committee approves ISP alcohol-testing rule docket after public comment period
The committee approved Docket 11-0301-2401, a set of pending Idaho State Police rules on alcohol testing that the agency said streamlined language without substantive change.

Lieutenant Colonel Russ Wheatley presented Docket 11-0301-2401 on behalf of Idaho State Police, describing the rules as a streamlined rewrite of existing alcohol-testing rules without substantive change. Wheatley said ISP held three public hearings (Aug. 19, Oct. 3 and Nov. 8, 2024) and received written comments from the Idaho Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers; ISP said it addressed the concerns raised.
