Bountiful Davis Arts Center seeks Centerville support for expanded free programs

"For 5 decades, BDAC has been the organization fulfilling these needs in Davis County," she said, and asked Centerville to consider a $10,000 contribution for 2025 to help sustain free programs and expand accessibility.
Ergot outlined BDAC offerings including Summerfest, school art exhibitions, rotating gallery shows and family art nights, and said BDAC keeps exhibitions and many educational programs free to the public. Kate Bradshaw, who identified herself as a BDAC board member and as a Bountiful City council member, encouraged Centerville to consider regional partnerships and to publicize BDAC's events to city residents.
Council members asked about past city support and marketing. Staff noted Centerville has contributed to BDAC in previous years; exact historical amounts were not confirmed in the meeting record but council members said the city had made prior donations. Council members suggested cross-promotion with Centerpoint Theater and other regional arts partners to boost attendance and donor opportunities.
BDAC representatives said they welcome deeper partnerships with surrounding cities, and signaled willingness to discuss how municipal sponsorships might be structured. No formal funding request was acted on at the Feb. 4 meeting; BDAC said it would provide additional follow-up information to council for the city's budget discussions.
