The Mobile City Board of Adjustment approved a special exception Feb. 3 allowing the Alabama Music Box to set a maximum occupancy of 240 at a proposed 3,100-square-foot music venue at 659 Canton Street, a use that requires special review because the Unified Development Code (UDC) treats assemblies over 100 occupants as special exceptions.
