The vote came after the applicant, identified in the meeting as Lee (applicant/property owner), described a two-phase plan for a park on roughly 6.5 acres that would initially build 12–13 sites in a front phase and about 21 sites in a later phase for a maximum of 34 RV sites and a primary residence on the parcel. Board president David Ferguson made the motion to table the item; Jenny Beverly seconded. The board took a voice vote in favor to table the plan to the next meeting.
The item drew more than half a dozen residents who said the proposal would harm privacy, raise security concerns and burden local drainage and access. “If you could imagine that somebody you don't know invites 40 or 50 people that he doesn't know in my backyard,” resident Howard Breed said, summarizing his privacy and security worries.
