The Waterloo Planning & Zoning Commission on Jan. 14 recommended approval of a special permit for Amerco Real Estate Company (U-Haul) to redevelop the former Kmart site into a U-Haul moving and storage facility with additional mini-storage construction and covered RV spaces at the University Avenue property.
