At the Jan. 28 Oklahoma County Board of County Commissioners meeting, commissioners unanimously approved several consent and routine items, including a professional-services award, appointments to local boards, an easement abandonment tied to a bridge project, a CERB claim submission to ODOT and a facilities contract amendment.
Ashley, a county purchasing staff member, presented agenda item P25120-8, a recommendation for testing services related to the new behavioral care center. She said three firms were shortlisted and that "based upon final determination of the scores and evaluations, the committee recommends awarding to the most qualified firm for this project, Standard Engineering and Field Services." Commissioners moved, seconded and voted to accept the purchasing agent's recommendation.
The board also approved appointments to fill local vacancies. The county appointed Brandon Stallings and Joseph Baker to positions for which no candidates had run; commissioners moved and approved those appointments during the consent docket.
Stacy, speaking for engineering, described a bridge project near Arcadia and said the county had negotiated an abandonment of a private utility line to permit construction. "It's $20,000. That is the lowest cost way for us to go forward with our bridge," Stacy said; commissioners approved the abandonment payment.
Commissioners forwarded a claim for a CERB (Community Enhancement and Revitalization Board) project held at the Oklahoma Department of Transportation to have certain acquisition costs reimbursed, allowing the county to clear right-of-way on two bridges south of 36th Street on Luther Road. The board also approved a contract amendment for a Fifth Floor remodel to remove floor mastic; the amendment totaled $95,785.
All motions on these items carried on voice votes with commissioners saying "aye." Meeting records show all actions on the consent docket were approved.
Other routine items on the agenda were handled during the meeting and no additional public testimony was recorded on these specific consent items.
