After a closed executive session on potential litigation, the Board of County Commissioners announced on Feb. 3 that it had been briefed on a pending matter involving the county’s Washington state risk‑pool insurer and that no public decisions were made at the session. Chair Dahl then announced the board’s authorization for Kathy Funk Baxter, finance director, to sign any documents associated with a proposed settlement.
