Sergeant Steve Myers, the St. Mary's County alcohol enforcement coordinator, reported to the Alcohol Beverage Board on Oct. 11, 2018 that his unit conducted 10 alcohol compliance checks in September with zero violations and carried out the same number of tobacco checks with no violations. Myers reported 14 DUI arrests for the month and said one alcohol violation and citation was issued by a police unit on Great Mills Road.
