Resident asks council to support planning grant for River Raisin pedestrian bridge linking Waterloo Park and Rough Drive

At the citizens‑comment portion of the special meeting, Dale De Slover, who identified himself as a member of the Monroe County ISD scribe board and the County Veil Advisory Committee, asked Monroe City Council to support a planning grant application to SEMCOG for a pedestrian bridge over the River Raisin. De Slover said the bridge would connect Waterloo Park on the river’s south side to Rough Drive and the World Mark trail on the north side and would strengthen multi‑jurisdictional trail connectivity.
