Subcommittee backs bill letting executive-form counties adopt affordable dwelling unit programs
The subcommittee voted 6-1 to report House Bill 2,781, which would extend authority to counties with an executive form of government to adopt voluntary affordable dwelling unit (ADU) ordinances under Code section 15.2-2304, giving those counties greater flexibility to design local incentives for producing lower-cost housing.
