James, a county staff member who oversees juvenile services, asked the Board of Commissioners for permission to rehire a vacant juvenile counselor position in the county secure unit. "I'm here today to request permission to rehire an open position that we have in our secure unit. The position is in our 2025 budget, and is necessary for quality and safety in the programming," he said.
