Council approves amendment reducing maximum multifamily density for mixed‑use centers

The Shakopee City Council unanimously approved a comprehensive plan text amendment lowering the mixed‑use commercial center residential density range from 30–60 dwelling units per acre to 6–45 units per acre in Figure 4.13 of the 2020–2040 plan; staff said the change better reflects recent and expected development patterns.
