Superintendent notes Eustis High design workshop, graduation-rate progress and school recognition

At the Jan. 13 Lake County School Board meeting the superintendent provided several district updates including a scheduled workshop on design services for Eustis High School and recognition of school performance.
The superintendent said a workshop on design professional services for Eustis High School is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Jan. 21 in the boardroom. He also said he recently sent a letter of condolence to Randy Belton, a transportation service manager, after the death of his mother, Isabel Belton.
The superintendent reported that the district reviewed graduation rates at a recent workshop and congratulated high schools for rising graduation numbers. He also announced that East Ridge Middle School was named a “Bridgel professional learning community school” (as stated in the meeting) and praised Principal Sudoric and the school team for the recognition.
He reminded the board that schools and offices will be closed on Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Board members echoed congratulations to staff and volunteers and noted recent district events that celebrated teachers and student activities.
