Emergency Services rolls over Homeland Security and HAZMAT grants, accepts state flood-mitigation equipment MOU
Warren County Office of Emergency Services asked the committee to amend budgets to roll over several state Homeland Security and HAZMAT grants and to accept a memorandum of understanding to take possession and maintain state-provided flood-mitigation equipment. Warren County's Office of Emergency Services (OES) asked the Public Safety & Emergency Services Committee on Jan. 21 to amend the 2025 county budget to carry forward unspent funds from multiple Homeland Security and HAZMAT grant awards and to accept a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services to assume stewardship of state-owned flood-mitigation equipment.
