Programming and participation: staff reported seven branch programs in December with about 570 participants and highlighted a New Year’s Eve library celebration with 101 attendees. Youth services said it hosted 28 events with 826 participants (as reported in the packet) and described the annual gingerbread house and other seasonal activities.
Technology and operations: staff reported progress on a five‑year ILS (integrated library system) evaluation and that South Central Library System (SCLS) is taking over some daily ILL processing to save staff time. The first‑floor self‑checkout kiosk received a replacement CPU from EnvisionWare and is now functioning consistently; the microfilm scanner, by contrast, was described as "a little bit iffy right now."
