Board outlines spring grant cycle, application deadlines and post-award reporting expectations

Board member Jim Bartlett said grant applications are available now and that completed applications are due by noon on March 3. Bartlett and the board emphasized stronger post-award reporting this cycle. "Those organizations that are awarded a grant will be expected to come in and give us a report after they've received the grant of what did they use it for, and what kind of results did they get," Bartlett said. The board reiterated that awardees must send an invoice to Treasurer Dave Bremer, who will process payment; recipients may pick up checks at the courthouse or receive them by mail.
Members said staff will continue to help organizations unfamiliar with the application, and that presentations by applicants will take place on March 17 at the regular meeting time.
