Committee advances resolution asking administration to submit updated 2025 local hazard mitigation plan
The committee reported out Resolution 25‑25 requesting the city administration submit the updated 2025 local hazard mitigation plan so Honolulu remains eligible for certain federal grants; the Department of Emergency Management said the plan is near completion, due public comment in February, and will be published by March 31, 2025

The Honolulu City Council Committee on Public Safety and Customer Services on Jan. 16 reported out Resolution 25‑25, which requests that the city administration submit the updated 2025 local hazard mitigation plan to the council in order to maintain eligibility for certain federal project grants.
