Upper Darby board adopts eight policy updates on second reading

The Upper Darby School District Board of School Directors approved eight policy updates on second reading at its Jan. 14 meeting.
Board President Desnorres read the policy report and the board voted to adopt the second‑reading policies. The eight policies approved were 113.1 (discipline of students with disabilities), 113.2 (behavior support), 202 (eligibility of nonresident students), 236.1 (threat assessment), 252 (dating violence), 254 (educational opportunity for military children), 607 (tuition income) and 805.2 (school security personnel).
Earlier in the meeting, the board also held first readings on other policy updates, including Policy 610 (purchases subject to bid quotation), Policy 611 (purchases budgeted), Policy 801 (public records), Policy 807 (opening exercises/moment of silence/flag displays) and Policy 823 (opioid antagonist). Summaries of those proposed first‑reading changes were posted to BoardDocs.
