The Digital Plan Room on the Citizen Portal now offers an "issues report" feature that creates a PDF containing any plan sheets and supporting-document pages where plan-review issues require a narrative response and possible resubmittal.
The change matters to applicants and design teams because the report compiles project-level issues, plan-sheet markups and relevant supporting-document pages into one downloadable file, making it easier to see reviewer comments and prepare a resubmittal.
Staff explained the steps to create a report: open the issues bar, click the button immediately left of the print icon to open the issues-report window, then select "create a report," give it a name and optional description, and click create. The PDF takes a few moments to generate and a download icon appears when it is ready. Only issues with a status of "open" or "answered" are eligible for inclusion; if there are no issues in those statuses, the portal displays a notification instead.
When opened, the PDF lists any project-level issues on a cover sheet, then plan sheets with issues and, finally, pages from supporting documents. If an issue has associated markup, the markup is visible in the report; hovering over a markup displays review discipline, reviewer name, issue title and description. Clicking a markup focuses the related comment in the PDF comments pane; conversely, clicking a comment brings focus to the sheet or page containing the markup. If an issue has no markup, a comment icon appears in the center of the affected sheet or page to indicate the open issue.
Filters applied in the issues list affect what is included in the report. For example, selecting the building discipline in the filter limits the report to issues opened by the building discipline during plan review. The existing print button remains available and continues to offer a tabular export of issues.
Staff also reminded users that the portal requires a response to each identified issue within the Citizen Portal before access is granted to the review package created for resubmittal. The new issues-report PDF is intended to assist applicants in compiling required corrections and responses.
