Williams noted that practical nursing is an adults-only program and that the program is limited to 12 students under the rules of the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.
Williams described the partner programs follow-up process, saying staff attempt annual contact to determine whether former students are working or pursuing further education and, when possible, collect wage information to evaluate program effectiveness. She also said Pine Mission Tech runs a Business and Education Council that meets in the fall and spring to gather industry input for curriculum and equipment needs.
Williams said Pine Mission Tech recently accepted 32 new students from Stigler for the next school year and indicated she expects overall new-student numbers to grow.
