Suwannee County commissioners adopted a reclassification of job titles and approved a plan to bring many positions to new minimum pay ranges. The board deferred design of a merit-based evaluation and pay system, asking staff for a follow-up proposal that includes CPI scenarios and cost estimates.

The Suwannee County Board of County Commissioners voted Oct. 21 to adopt a countywide compensation and classification reorganization and to implement a "bring-to-minimum" approach for positions that lag the market.
