Staff explained that analysis of County Line Road — including traffic and potential policy implications — has become a broader issue affecting the county’s approach to development along that corridor. Because the county and the applicant are still coordinating with public works to analyze road impacts and define a consistent standard, staff said it did not have sufficient competent evidence to present to the board. The board voted 4‑0 to postpone the item to a future hearing date yet to be determined.
Commissioners confirmed the postponement was requested by county staff, not by the applicant, and that the matter would return once public works and planning had completed the necessary technical coordination.
