South Weaver Elementary students visit Risen Warrior Ranch for adaptive ranch experience

Miss Becky, an EE teacher at South Weaver Elementary, told the Davis County School District board that students visited Risen Warrior Ranch and were given a tour that accommodated children with disabilities.

"They are giving our kiddos a tour of their awesome ranch," Miss Becky said. "Our kiddos have some disabilities and they've been super great in accommodating their riding the horses. We got to see chickens and pet the horses, so it's been a super fun experience for the kids."

The teacher said Risen Warrior Ranch is dedicated to helping veterans and police officer families and that the ranch customizes field trips for schools. "We offer a lot of different customized field trips. We have a lot of schools and so we tried to cater to that. It's just been a great opportunity to service the schools and the veteran families," she said.
