Page County engineer reported a field-entrance bridge failure, abutment repairs at Snake Creek Bridge requiring a Wednesday-Friday closure, and crack-filling and equipment maintenance. County Engineer JD King briefed supervisors on roadwork and bridge issues across Page County, reporting that crews removed blades and hauled riprap to K Avenue to address slides into a creek, placed concrete on a wing post at Essex Bridge following a crash and scheduled guardrail replacement for Oct. 27. He said a field-entrance bridge north of Essex failed over the weekend after a vehicle drove through it; the property owner was contacted and not injured.
