Consent and minutes - Added to consent: Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) Justice Programs grant for Crime Victim Services, $70,000, no match required — added to consent agenda and approved. - Added to consent: temporary off-sale liquor license application for Rock Creek Lions for the Heidelbergers rodeo, Aug. 29–Sept. 1 — added to consent agenda and approved. - Approved minutes of the July 15, 2025 regular county board meeting and summary for publication.
Land and parks - Adopted Pine County Park Trail and Recreation grant policy (includes $15,000 threshold discussed by committee) — approved. - Referred Windermere Township pier funding request back to the land advisory committee for further review (township had sought $32,000; committee earlier discussed up to $15,000 but recommendation withdrawn) — referral approved. - Scheduled public meeting to present the Pine County Trail Master Plan Sept. 16, 2025 (Greg Anderson, engineer, available) — approved.

Roads and state-aid - Approved the establishment of County State Aid Highway designations for the Trunk Highway 123 turnback (County State Highway 30 for east-west portion and County State Highway 29 for north-south portion). County will receive an estimated $140,000 per year in state aid and expected one-time state payment approximating $5,400,000 — action approved.
Broadband and economic development - Authorized letter of support for the sale of SEI Broadband to Midco as part of ReConnect grant paperwork — approved. - Authorized letter of support for the Minnesota BEAD (Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment) program — approved.
Personnel/process - Acknowledged County Administrator David Minkie’s voluntary resignation and retirement schedule — acknowledgement recorded. - Approved an amended hiring process: invite internal applications from current county employees with materials due to staff by Friday; administration to distribute materials to commissioners; interviews to be held during a special meeting the following Tuesday; if no internal candidate is acceptable, the board may open an external search — motion and amendment approved.
Other - Several routine acknowledgements: committee minutes, surveyor report, TIF disclosure acknowledgment and other consent items were approved as presented.
