Council approves multiple stop‑sign installations after traffic studies

Public Safety Committee members presented traffic‑study‑backed recommendations and the council moved favorable action on the following items:
- PCR 106‑25: Remove yield signs on Bellevue Avenue at Summit Street and install a stop sign on Summit Street where it intersects Bellevue Avenue. Committee and council supported the change "supported by a traffic study." - PCR 107‑25: Install stop signs at intersections of Underwood Avenue with Parkview Avenue, Richmond Drive, Beaufort Avenue and Newman Avenue/North Hampton Street. - PCR 109‑25: Install a stop sign on Grand Avenue at Leroy Avenue. - PCR 110‑25: Install stop signs on Spencer Woods Drive and on Deer Run Crossing where each intersects Major Potter Road.
Committee chairs noted each recommendation was supported by traffic studies and the council approved the measures on the floor after committee recommendation. Votes on each motion were taken by roll call and each measure passed.
