City approves two construction-phase contracts after hearing multiple project updates

In separate voice votes the council approved a $197,370 construction-phase services agreement with Casper Patrick Associates LLP for the South Temple transmission Lane WTP to GST/PS Line A project, and authorized contract amendment No. 3 to Casper Patrick Associates LLP for construction-phase services on the Veterans Memorial Boulevard Phase 1 project, at an estimated $541,700. Both motions passed by voice vote.
Public-works presenter David Patrick (staff member) gave a consolidated update on several projects under design or construction. "This project is going really well. We are moving along quite nicely," Patrick said about the Phase 3 roadway work connecting Windland Road to I-35 at the Hart Road connection.
