Measles exposure at Early Learning Center led to quarantines; district tests lockdown alert system

Superintendent Sawyers told the New Albany-Plain Local Board of Education on Oct. 20 that a measles exposure at the district's Early Learning Center (ELC) required quarantines coordinated with Franklin County Public Health and Columbus Public Health. "Students were able to return to school last Friday, with the exception of one family that still remained in quarantine through Oct. 21, and they're eligible to return back to school on Oct. 22," Sawyers said.
