Allen Child Protection Center seeks $1.5 million to move into renovated Alumni Hall
Representatives from the Allen Child Protection Center asked the Black Hawk County Board of Supervisors to consider supporting a $1.5 million capital campaign to relocate the center from inside UnityPoint Allen Hospital to a renovated building across campus, citing privacy, space and safety concerns.

Kim French, a representative of the Allyn Foundation, and Katie Sroupe, director of the Allen Child Protection Center, presented the center’s capital campaign to the Black Hawk County Board of Supervisors on Sept. 30. The center is seeking $1.5 million to renovate Alumni Hall on the Allen College campus and move operations out of the hospital.
