Hubbard County commissioners approved a contract with EagleView to provide change-detection aerial imagery and related data to the property records office.
Property records staff told the board the contract covers a comprehensive first run that will compare imagery back to 2017 outlines, reducing initial expenses because prior building outlines exist. Staff said they budgeted for the cost in the 2025 budget and expect subsequent updates to be less data-intensive, comparing more recent flyovers.
Staff noted that the office will need to review the returned change-detection data and determine whether assessors should do field views for specific properties. The county approved the contract by voice vote.
Ending: Staff will receive the dataset, review it for changes relevant to assessments, and schedule any necessary field reviews by local assessors.
