Moffat County approves zone change and conditional use for Morrill Energy battery storage project
The Board of County Commissioners approved a zone change (R2502) and a conditional use permit (C2508) allowing Morell Energy’s 200-megawatt, 4‑hour battery storage project to proceed to lease and permitting steps, with conditions addressing stormwater, haul routes, emergency response and decommissioning.
