Jeremy, a county public-works staff member who had emailed the commission in advance, asked for formal approval. Jeremy said the training will include nine county employees and that “when you get out there in the real world, I think it’s real beneficial.” Commissioners moved and seconded approval; the motion passed by voice vote.
Public-works staff signed the formal acceptance and said they would coordinate on-day details with the commission and affected users. No cost or traffic-control specifics were provided during the discussion; the requester said the closure would be paid from the department’s budget.
