Members of the Berrien County Brownfield Redevelopment Authority reported the Allen Edlund Homes Hollywood Glen Lord Road Brownfield plan was approved. The plan covers approximately 54.2 acres and calls for 120 homes, 12 of which will be restricted to low‑income households.
Authority members also revisited the River Oak South Brownfield redevelopment project in the city of Watervliet (reported as Waterville in the committee update); the committee approved a work plan and a resolution approving reimbursement terms and conditions related to the project.
The board reported the Brownfield authority will hold a public hearing as part of the project process; timing of the hearing was discussed with staff and may be scheduled in the near term. No county board vote on Brownfield plan approvals was taken in the full meeting note; the update was provided as a committee report.
