During public comment Sept. 18, staff from the county and a vendor representative described plans to transition agenda management to the county’s CivicPlus platform. Yasin, identified in the meeting as representing Bijan Technologies, and Sean Rush, the county’s audiovisual and technical lead, explained the migration and the operational impacts for the authority’s clerks and staff.
What was explained: the county is consolidating boards-and-commissions agendas into a single, searchable location on the county website using CivicPlus. The move aims to reduce confusion from separate web pages and make agendas and packets easier for the public to find.
Operational effects: staff and the clerk’s office will have slightly more administrative workflow. Yasin said he will create agenda packets and manage uploads for the next three to four months while staff trains on the new system; Sean Rush said the County clerk and other staff will be able to print and post agendas as needed. The authority discussed the possibility of adjusting administrative responsibilities or compensation if the change creates ongoing additional work.
Next steps: Yasin and county IT/AV staff will continue training and provide access to CivicPlus accounts. The authority asked staff to confirm that the clerk’s office and any AV technicians necessary for meeting uploads are coordinated; the county will provide templates and training materials.
Ending: The change aims to streamline public access to agendas and packets; staff will follow up with training and account setup and return with timing as the migration proceeds.
