Planning commission continues hearing on Wakefield Valley development amendment

Garrett Hardys of the city planning department told the mayor and common council that the Planning and Zoning Commission held a hearing on an amendment to the Wakefield Valley development plan and continued the matter to Oct. 21.
Hardys said the amendment (filed as DP 2401 in the department’s presentation) concerns two parcels: Parcel W, 38.29 acres, and Parcel X, 16.06 acres. The proposal would add 35 density rights to Parcel W to permit construction of 35 single-family detached dwellings and dedicate Parcel X to Carol Lutheran Village as open space.
Hardys noted the commission typically meets Oct. 16 but rescheduled the continued hearing for Oct. 21. No formal council action on the amendment was recorded at this meeting.
