Commissioners discuss Central Appraisal District director nominations; allocation step ongoing

Mr. Kim told the court that, based on a letter from the Central Appraisal District, the county is at the allocation-of-votes step that must be completed before October 1. “My understanding based on the letter from the CADD is we're at the allocation of votes step, which needs to be done before October 1,” Kim said. He explained that once the county is told how many votes it has been allocated, the county may submit nominations and that a ballot will be provided in a subsequent step.
Court members agreed no action was required at the meeting and that nominations can be prepared in the intervening weeks and forwarded when the official ballot is available.
The court did not identify specific nominees nor record any formal allocation at this meeting.
