Ridgecrest city staff announced the farmers market will return to Wednesday evenings beginning Sept. 3 from 5 to 8 p.m. on Balsam Street, and promoted two fall community events: trunk-or-treat on Oct. 24 and "Booze on Balsam" on Oct. 25.
The announcement, delivered in the city’s monthly community bulletin, said the pop-up farmers market will offer local vendors and farm-fresh produce and encouraged residents to stop by after work. Staff said trunk-or-treat sign-ups are open now via the Parks and Recreation website.
The bulletin also recapped the Aug. 23 Ridgecrest City Nights event, which featured a kids zone, live music, yard games hosted by Cerro Coso and food and drink vendors.
City staff did not provide additional operational details such as vendor application deadlines, anticipated vendor counts, permit conditions or specific street-use permits in the bulletin. For registration and event rules, staff directed residents to the Parks and Recreation website.
