Council introduces downtown designated business parking permit program and holds action for public input

City staff introduced an ordinance on Sept. 2 to establish a designated business parking permit program for a segment of College Street, intended to give qualifying downtown businesses priority on-street spaces during daytime hours. No council vote was taken; the item was held over to the next meeting to allow public comment and further consideration.
