- Rezoning a 0.16-acre parcel at 20 Seventh Street East from R-2 (single-family residential) to R-3 (affordable housing) to allow placement of a mobile home (District 5). - Rezoning 1 acre near Highway 195 at Breakfield Dairy Road from BT (Business Transition) to B-2 (Community Service Commercial) for commercial use (District 3). - Rezoning 1.5 acres at 45 Old Rock Quarry Road from R-1 (single-family) to B-2 to establish an auto sales lot (District 3). - Rezoning a 0.16-acre parcel at 1704 1/2 Euclid Avenue from R-1 to R-4 (Urban Dwelling) to allow multifamily rental units (District 1). - Rezoning 0.25 acres at 1505 Alabama Avenue from R-1 to BT (Business Transition) for future office or limited retail uses (District 1). - Rezoning 2.2 acres at 2336 North Walson Bridge Road from R-3 (affordable housing) to B-1 (neighborhood center) for future limited commercial use (District 2). - Rezoning 1 acre at 2340 North Walson Bridge Road from R-1 to BT for future commercial use (District 2).
Brandon Coleman stated each item had the planning commission's approval; staff introduced each ordinance individually per council request. The council recessed further action: "All those were just introductions, and no action will be taken at this time," the presiding officer said.
The items will return at a later meeting for formal readings, public hearings and votes as required by city procedures and state law.
