Bradley County opens 2026 opioid-fund application process; about $200,000 available

Bradley County announced that the application window is open for organizations seeking opioid-settlement funding for 2026, with roughly $200,000 expected to be available.
The county invited eligible nonprofit organizations to submit proposals focused on prevention, treatment, remediation and abatement. Mayor Davis said organizations that apply will present to the county’s finance committee during its Oct. 6 meeting at 11:30 a.m. in the Commission Room. County staff said the finance committee will hear applicants in October and the commission will decide on appropriations in November, with funds expected to become available in January if the timeline holds.
Laurie in the commission office will schedule presentations, officials said. Mayor Davis estimated the county’s available amount is "a little 200,000," roughly the same level as the previous year.
The announcement formally opens the process; staff urged potential applicants to coordinate with the commission office for scheduling and informational needs.
