The Housing Authority of Washington County presented a report Sept. 2 on Camp Rosenbaum, an overnight week-long summer camp for children who live in subsidized housing that is run by a nonprofit of the same name and supported by housing authorities and volunteers across the region.
Camp Rosenbaum sends approximately 9-to-11-year-old campers to a coast location for a free week of activities. “We are operating on 100% donations,” Crystal Crowler, program director for Camp Rosenbaum, told the Housing Authority board. She said volunteers and fundraising cover program costs and directed people seeking to help to camprosenbaum.org.
