Student representatives press board on dress code, self-defense; board adopts code with guidance on campus interpretation

Student board representatives raised concerns about dress-code enforcement inequities and asked that the student-conduct code allow defense of others. The board adopted the 2025–26 code of student conduct and asked staff to issue clearer campus-level guidance about ambiguous language such as “mid-thigh.”
