Hamtramck staff reports multiple infrastructure projects under way; Goodson Alley work advanced

City staff and engineering presenters told the council on June 24 that Hamtramck continues a multi-year infrastructure program that includes lead-service-line replacements, water-main work, alley reconstructions and road overlays.
Staff reported that 792 service lines were replaced in 2024 and that the city received just under $44 million in infrastructure grants in that year. As of June 1, staff said the plan for 2025 calls for replacing about 1,060 service lines, with 357 completed to date.…
